Text: The couple lived in George Street Sydney. They moved to the Macleay River district in New South Wales where Ann, already a wealthy woman, owned property called 'Austral Eden' and was leasing 5000 acres at Glenrock Plains New South Wales. When Ann died in 1842, all her property passed to Thomas.
Before her death, they were living in a house leased in Lower George Street from John Terry Hughes, while Anne's stepson from her first marriage was managing the Glenrock property. In 1848 the lease was passed to John Verge who then bought the property outright.
