Note: Mary (his mother) was convicted and transported to Australia on the ship 'Earl of Liverpool'. The vessel had embarked 90 and disembarked in Sydney on 5 April 1831 with 88 female convicts.
Apart from the indent, no other records exist for the 1831 voyage of the 'Earl of Liverpool'. It is most likely that Duncan came to Sydney with his 2 siblings and his mother Mary on the same voyage. The children are referred to in the records of the Orphan School in the same year.
