This was a suit brought by Percy Linden Purnell against Mary Jane Purnell, formerly Davis (Alexander Sinclair co-respondent), to obtain a dissolution of the marriage. The issues on behalf of the petitioner were: Whether the respondent between October 1, 1906 and December 6, 1906, misconducted herself with the co-respondent at No. 11 Liverpool-street Paddington; whether co-respondent at the times and places mentioned misconducted himself with the respondent; and what amount of damage should be paid by the co-respondent. The respondent filed an answer, in which the issues were: - Whether the petitioner was guilty of such wilful neglect or misconduct as conduced to the misconduct (if any) alleged; whether the petitioner was guilty of cruelty, and whether he had misconducted himself with certain women named. Each of the parties denied the allegations....
