Marriage
Address: St Saviours
Text:

William was described as a labourer of Gurrunda near Goulburn when married by Rev. William Sowerby at St. Saviours, Goulburn. Ellen was aged 19, a native of Cork Ireland. Consent of her mother Mary Lynch, a widow, alias Murphy was given. Both sets of parents names were later added to the statutory registration. The church records the parents as John Wood and Maria Kingsell [sic] and Thomas Lynch and Mary Murphy. Both bride and groom made their X mark, as did Ellen's mother, one of the witnesses. The other witness was Jane Medgit.
