MR. AND MRS. SAM McCORD, of Boomerang-street, Cessnock, have their only three sons in the Army. Sam, the eldest son, who is well known for his swimming capabilities, recently underwent an operation in camp hospital. Raymond, their next son, is in a different camp, while Jackie, is "somewhere in the Northern Territory". Mr McCord, who is well known as a fruiterer, and previous to that as a mine deputy, recently decided to live the remainder of his life in retirement.
