Court of Requests, Windsor, Aug. 1826.
JOSEPH EADES, OF WINDSOR, PLAINTIFF, AND JAMES THOMPSON, ALSO OF WINDSOR, DEFENDANT.
Plaintiff claims reparation in the sum of ten pound-sterling, being the mitigated amount of damage sustained by plaintiff, in the want of maternal care and tenderness towards his infant family of five children; by the neglect the said children are subjected to, and the hardships they consequently endure, and the privations they have to encounter, through the loss of their mother; she being taken away by the defendant, who has artfully seduced the wife of plaintiff from her home; and caused her, by his crafty wiles, to alienate her affection from her husband, and more particularly to abscond from her duty as a wife, and abandon the infant offspring of their union - the hitherto happy issue, and fruits of the holy banns of matrimony, and the marriage bed.
Witnesses James Harris, Thomas Rainbow.
