George was a lifetime member of the Wesleyan Church at Dural and from 1891 to 1901 was a Trustee. The difference in faiths of himself and his second wife did not upset a harmonious marriage. Minnie Radley, the youngest of John and Mary Ann's children, recalled how she went to church with her mother on Saturdays and her step-father in Sundays. The large family of Radleys remained close knit and Seventh Day Adventist, Wesleyan and Catholic members of it all remained on good terms.
