"...The memorial of George Pashley
Respectfully sets forth
That Your Excellency's memorialist has been upwards of eighteen years in this colony and at this moment has a wife with four small children. That from a long uniform propriety of conduct Colonel Paterson was pleased to grant to Your memorialist during his administration the deeds of eighty acres of land as the first indulgence memorialist once implored, from Government which was given as an assistant to his rising family. Memorialist therefore most humbly presumes to solicit Your Excellency's generous indulgence by a renewal of the deeds and firmly hopes that his character will be found such as to merit Your Excellency's approbation.
And memorialist a sin duty bound
will ever gratefully pray."
