Text: In 1788 Thomas accompanied first settlers to Norfolk Island, and remained until 1799. Also sent to Norfolk Island was Elizabeth Colley (c.1768 - ?) per the ship Lady Penrhyn 1788. It is believed that Thomas and Elizabeth had 5 children on Norfolk Island in a common law marriage. |

Text: Thomas returned to Port Jackson in 1799 and took a year's leave in England in 1801, and returned to Sydney in 1802. It is believed that Elizabeth Colley (who was noted as having returned to England by 1801) accompanied him to England with the 4 children who were born on Norfolk Island. |

Text: Thomas's will appointed his son Sir John Jamieson as his heir and executor, and named Dennis Considen (per Scarborough, First Fleet) as one of the guardians of his "infant daughters Elizabeth, Frances, Harriet and Matilda until they reach the age of 21" |

Text: Jamison left Sydney for London in 1809, with some of the other mutineers, to safeguard his financial affairs and testify against Bligh at any legal proceedings that might arise as a consequence of the governor's overthrow. He leased a residence in London's fashionable Portman Square but fell ill during 1810. His condition deteriorated and he died on Upper Berkeley Street, Portman Square on 25 January 1811 |
