The respectful memorial of Francis Hainsworth
Sheweth
That memorialist came to this Colony a Private in His Majesty's 73 Regiment of Foot - was discharged the said Regiment having served eleven years on the 24th May 1818.
That memorialist is a married man and has one child and resides at Parramatta, is a Constable in the Watch therein discharging the duties of his office with fidelity.
That memorialist never having received any indulgences from the Crown, and being anxious to improve and farm - humbly implores Your Excellency to take his case into Your favourable consideration and grant him such portion of land for a farm as to Your Excellency;s Widsom and Goodness shall seem meet....May 18th 1820
