I believe Sarah to be the child of George Mitchell and his wife Maria White. In a petition to the governor in 1818 George wrote that he had a wife and one child. She disappears from the records after that however, perhaps dying an infant. There exists a death registration for "Elizabeth S. White" in 1819 - perhaps this is the same child. She is not mentioned in either the 1822, 1825 or 1828 musters. In the 1822 muster, Maria White is listed with 1 son (which would be James b. 1821).
