Eight Receiving Old Age Pensions
634 Years Between Nine Brothers and Sisters
The family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald McKnight of Flowerhill Street, Airdrie, want to know if they are Airdrie's oldest family.
Nine of the family of ten are surviving and have an aggregate age of 634 years. Eight of them are in receipt of old age pensions.
The father of the family was a labourer in the Standard Iron Works, Airdrie. He died at the age of 58. The mother (nee Mary Bryce) lived until the age of 79. Both belonged to Airdrie.
The surviving members of the family and their respective ages are as follows:
