OBITUARY MR. H. T. THOMPSON. Mr. Henry Thompson, who died at Wallsend, at the age of 94, was said to be Australia's oldest master baker. He was born at Hopwas, Tam worth, England, and came to Walls end with his wife 68 years ago. He worked in Wallsend pits as a miner for a number of years. He started his bakery in Walls end 54 years ago. He is survived by seven sons and four daughters. All his sons have been bakers. They are:.William (Sydney), Harold and Percy (Belmont), Arthur, Horace, Lawrence and Harry (Wallsend). The daughters are Mrs. C. Blair (Wallsend), Mrs. M. Pryde (New Zealand), Mrs. J. M. Davidson (Sydney) and Mrs. R. A. Dixon (Taree). Mr. Thompson leaves 45 grand children, 60 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. He was privately interred in the Church of England Cemetery, Wallsend.
