In her mother's Will of 11 February 1890, Mary Ann received the following bequest --"I give and bequeath to my daughters Mary Ann Hathaway of Parramatta, widow, Elizabeth Lemon of Windsor Road, Widow, and Charlotte Cronan of Seven Hills, Widow, the sum of five pounds each."
