SHOCKING CASE OF DROWNING AT PARRAMATTA. Parramatta, Thursday. - The wife of Mr. Richard Webb, of Church-street, was seen to fall into a large waterhole at the back of the Domain today. Her cries for help brought William Train, a carman, to her rescue. He was driving several ladies in his carriage round the park; but seeing the cause of the alarm he jumped off the carriage, and divesting himself of coat, vest and hat, plunged in and brought the poor creature on shore. She was just gasping her last breath. All available means were tried to restore her, but before the arrival of the doctor she expired. Train's pluck is to be commended. Although a very native man he has only one leg.
