THE WRECK OF THE DEVON. Immediately after the news came through from Port Macquarie that the Trio, a ketch of 90 tons register, had not reached her destination, and was believed to have foundered off the coast, particulars were received in Synuey from Camden Haven that the ketch Rob Roy is unaccounted for. The vessel is a new one, having been launched only 10 months ago. Sho has a register of 40 tons, and is the property of Mr. S. A. Clarko. The Rob Roy was employed trading between Sydney and Camden Haven, and left Sydney in ballast on Monday, 24th September, for Camden Haven. Sho has not since been heard of, and it is feared sho has foundered in the recent heavy weather. The crew comprised Captain O. Brown and three hands. The mate was a foreigner, name not known, the others being A. Buir [sic] (ordinary sea- man) and Aleck Holdstrom (cook and seaman). Camden Haven is only 180 miles north from Sydney Heads, and as the winds have been for the most part from the southward since the Rob Roy sailed, she ought to have reached her destination long ago.
