Text: Joseph may have been the son of Jane Harrison who arrived in the convict ship 'Morley III' in September 1820. Jane Harrison and Joseph Brammer (free) were married at Parramatta on 9 Jan 1821. Text: Joseph, son of Michael and Jane Harrison, arrived in the colony at the age of five with his convict mother in 1820. Jane married Joseph Brammer a free settler the following year in parramatta, and Joseph went to live with them in Windsor. By 1828 both his mother and Joseph Brammer were dead, and Joseph was working as a servant to a farmer George McDonald in the Field of Mars. (1828 census). |

Text: Joseph and Mary settled on a 65 acre block which had come to Hannah from her mother, Hannah Russell. Here they planted orchards of peaches, apricots, pears, plums and citrus fruits and built their small timber cottage. They gave it the name of 'Cherrybrook', probably from the cherry trees they planted near the creek which would have flowed through one corner of their land. |

Text: Joseph and his family were all members of the Wesleyan Chapel. Joseph was a foundation trustee of the church and a Sunday School teacher from 1845, and when he retired from teaching in 1875, he was presented with a family Bible in recognition of his long service. |
