Horace's war records record that he was buried east south east of Waterlot Farm, half a mile northwest of Guillemont, 2 and a quarter miles west north west of Combles. He was re-interred at Deville Wood Cemetery Plot 12, Row K Grave 4. Delville Wood Cemetery is a tract of woodland, nearly 1 kilometre square, the western edge of which touched the village of Longueval in the Somme.
