Engagement
|
Text: Parker als [alias] Attmore, Jno [John] age 39 'Ocean' life, TL [ticket of leave], stated single Text: I have listed this information under the heading of 'engagement' for want of a more accurate term. Although they were granted permission to marry, there is no evidence of this marriage going ahead. John already had a wife whom he had married prior to his transportation and three children who all emigrated aboard the ship 'Charles Hibbert' arriving in NSW in Dec 1834. It is probable that Sophia Maria Smith (born September 1834) was a product of John Parker's relationship with Maria Robson. |
