Brother-in-law: Harold Edgar Harvey — brother-in-law Note: As a young man, Stephen helped on his father's orchard, cleared land, or did the pruning of the fruit trees. He later worked for his brother in law Harold Harvey delivering produce from the latter's store on Pennant Hills Road. The traditional cart and horse first made the delivery round, until this was replaced by a motor lorry with solid tyres. When Harold Harvey died in 1933, Stephen Shields played the organ in the church for the funeral service. |
