"Indictment charges that John Lee late of Manchester in the County of Lancaster, labourer, on the twenty eighth day of July in the twenty eighth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth at Manchester aforesaid in the County aforesaid, six pieces of fustians called --- of the value of sixpence and two pieces of fustian called Drab of the value of four pence of the Goods and Chattels of George Downes and John Gibson then and there found and being by force and arms feloniously did steal and take and carry away contrary to the Peace of our said Lord the King his --- and dignity."
