A LABOURER KILLED:
A labourer named William Fearish, living at 428 Bourke Street, Surry Hills, was killed yesterday afternoon, whilst working in the building in course of erection at the corner of Spring and Pitt streets. At the time of the accident the man was walking to the rear of the building when the brick fell from the third floor striking him on the head. He was rendered unconscious, and was at once removed to the Sydney Hospital by some fellow workmen. On reaching there, however, Fearish was found to be dead, and his body was then taken to the morgue.'

The Sydney Morning Herald for Saturday 3 Oct 1903 contained the following death notice:
'FEARISH. - October 1, 1903, at Sydney Hospital, William Fearish, for 27 years a member of Court Little John, Ancient Order of Foresters, Orange District, aged 54 years.'
