PARRAMATTA.
(From our own Correspondent.)
Two awful instances of accidental death
have occurred in this district within the past
week; the first on Thursday, at Eastern
Creek, when a son of Mr. J. Pye, who had
been out after cattle some distance from the
farm, was found lying insensible on the
ground, having been thrown from the horse
on which he was riding. Immediately on
his being discovered he was conveyed home
and medical assistance procured, but he
never spoke, and died at a late hour the
same night from the severe contusion of the
brain which had resulted from the fall. The
deceased was in his nineteenth year, and
gave promise of being a bright ornament to
the hardy race of Australians so rapidly
springing up around us.
