Citation details: Norfolk Chronicle Sat 11 Mar 1809 p. 3 Text: At Ely Assizes, John Lock Thurston, W. Lock Thurston, and Daniel Lock Thurston pleaded guilty to the several indictments found against them, for horse-stealing and burglary, and received sentence of death. On account of the extraordinary good character given to William, by a gentleman in whose service he had lived up to Michaelmas last, his sentence was respited before the Judge left the town, upon condition of his being transported for life. - The two others were left for execution. |

Text: On 19 Nov 1812 and again on 3 Mar 1817 Daniel was sent to Newcastle per the 'Estramia' and 'Lady Nelson' respectively. |
