MANILDRA.
The death occurred on Tuesday of a very old and respected resident of Manildra in the person of Mr J P Batman. The sad event took place at the residence of his son-in-Iaw, Mr S Rowe. The deceased gentleman, who was 90 years of age has been in very indifferent health for some time past; he was a native of England and came to this country when quite a young man ; he was of a retiring disposition and was highly respected by all who made his acquaintance. He is survived by a grown-up family. Mrs S Rowe is a daughter. The internment took place in the Muranburu cemetery on Wednesday afternoon.
