Humphreys, The Pottery, Dinmore, were holidaying at Sandgate, when Mrs. Humphreys was taken ill. She was hurried to Brisbane General Hospital, where she was admitted. She is now reported to be on the seriously ill list. Mrs. Humphreys is one of Din more's oldest residents, and an active social worker and member of various lodges.

The late Mrs. Humphreys, who was 79 years of age, was born in Shooton (late Spennymore), County of Dur ham, England. She came to this country in the year 1886. She remained at Dinmore un til the time of her death. She was a mem ber of the Dinmore and Booval O.E.S. Chapters, also a member of the Baptist Church Guild, and a great worker for patriotic funds. The funeral took place at the Ipswich Cemetery, Rev. J. C. Farquhar officiating. She is survived by her husband, Mr. H. W. Humphreys, four sons, three daughters, 17 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. . |
