Obituary.
MR. JOHN WHEELER, of Agnes Banks, whose
death took place on the 16th inst, from in
ternal complaints, believed to have been
contracted daring his very long experience
BS a drover, was one of the men in whom
upright principles were firmly implanted, of
rather a retiring disposition but a right down
good fellow. He was born at Yarramundi
on the 20th June, 1839, married Miss E.
Davis, of the same locality, and established
his home at Agnes Banks, where they have
reared a large and very respectable family.
Among pastoralists Mr. Wheeler bore a
splendid name for carefulness of their live
property placed in his charge for transit, and
he was frequently employed by Mr. Wil
liams, of Tyreel, and the late Mr. B. Rich
ards. That he was greatly respected is
testified by the large number of friends who
attended his funeral on Saturday last.
The remains were enclosed in a polished
coffin, mounted with heavy silver handles,
and engraved breast plate, and were inter-
red at the Church of England Cemetery,
Richmond. The Rev. J. H. Price spoke in
praiseworthy terms of deceased, of the
strong trust lie had in God, and in a
lengthy address exhorted all present not to
dely their needful preparation for death un
til a sickness from which there was no
escape overtook them. The funeral was
conducted Mr. A. Price.
