However her marriage cert some 30 years later asserts that her parents are Maria Byrnes and Henry Thomas. Henry Stiles is an assistant curate at St Matthew's Church of England Windsor. He becomes the Master of the Parramatta Orphan School. The Darug Byrnes family live at Bells Road, Richmond . A John Thomas (Aboriginal) is born in 1837 and is from the Cowpastures tribe in Camden area.

"Mrs. Mary Bartle, a well-known Hawkesbury identity, died at Mulgrave on Saturday last at the age of 87 years. She was the mother of Mrs. W.J. Reynolds, of Wilberforce, Mrs. James Drayton, Riverstone, whilst a son is employed by Mr. Forssberg. The funeral took place on Sunday when the remains were interred at St. Matthews C.E. Cemetery, Rev. N. Jenkyn was the officiating clergyman, and Mr. Chandler the undertaker. Among the wreaths were two splendid ones, from Mr. Forssberg and Councillor J.J. Pye respectively.
