THE HUMBLE PETITION OF John Sheedy
by the Ship Mangles 4 18th Feby 1826
a prisoner for life dated Sydney March 10th 1832
SHEWETH
THAT your Petitioner is desirous of being re-united to the Family from which he was separated at the Time of his Transportation, and particulars of which are stated on the other side.
That Testimonials are subjoined of his Ability to Support his said Family, and of his having endeavoured, by good Conduct, to merit this Indulgence.
That he humbly prays, therefore, that Your Excellency will be pleased to transmit to the Right Honourable the SECRETARY OF STATE, a Recommendation that your Petitioner's said FAmily may be sent to this Colony at the Expence [sic]of Government.
And your Petitioner will ever pray.
